Food Pantry serving people in need. All are welcome to visit the shopping pantry 12 times a year and receive a variety of products.

This weekly community dinner is sponsored by different organizations throughout the area. This meal is open to any and all who show up. There is always plenty of good and healthy food for all.

Supports tribal members in accessing Social Security, energy assistance, food, disability coordination, medical gas vouchers (for Indian Health Services referred care), WIC, and referrals for other services.

Offers food boxes and children’s sack lunches to individuals and families in Bend, La Pine, Sunriver, Tumalo, and Sisters.

Offers food boxes, rent assistance, utility assistance, propane assistance, free clothing, free home items, education, outreach and agency referrals, home visits and services program.

Food Pantry. Please bring a container to carry food and something that can prove your address (photo ID or a piece of mail).

Offers food boxes with enough groceries to prepare meals for 5 days to eligible individuals and families. Food boxes are available every 30 days.

Confidential and free help for all victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking including men, women and children. Services include safe shelter with on-site kitchen and food, individual counseling and support groups, and support for those in crisis.

Offers free repairs and home improvements to increase energy efficiency and reduce utility costs. Available to low-income clients in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties.

A community meal café to serve anyone in the community looking for a hot meal.

Volunteer lawyers are available for free consultations with anyone with legal questions. Offered by the Deschutes County Access to Justice Committee and the Downtown Bend branch of Deschutes Public Library.

Offers donated clothing, bedding, hygiene/cleaning items, bags, and camping gear (when available). There are no income restrictions, but you can only shop once a month for the entire family. Located in the white building.

Offers produce, dairy, bread, and some grocery items to anyone who walks in. Sign-in starts at 11:30am, and shopping order is determined by lottery. Located in the brown building.

Serves hot, hearty, nutritious, delicious meals to anyone who walks through the door. No income or frequency restrictions, no donation required. Located in the red building.

Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity aims to offer affordable homeownership opportunities for folks in Bend and Redmond. Works in partnership with qualified families to build their own homes. Also offers home repair and weatherization.

Housing Works is the local Public Housing Authority that administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program.  Applicants must apply to the waiting list each year when it opens the second week of January. There is no immediate or emergency assistance available.

BestCare runs the community mental health program in Jefferson County. They offer mental health assessments, counseling and support for individuals living with mental illness, school-based mental health services, community-based treatment services, and support for young adults in transition.

COVO’s Outreach Program operates a full line drop-in center, providing food, warm and clean clothing, sleeping bags and bedding, shelters, and other necessary items.

Services: mediation with youth and families, 24-hour toll-free crisis hotline, shelter-care in a certified host home or at our youth shelter, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention and support counseling, information and referrals.
