This weekly community dinner is sponsored by different organizations throughout the area. This meal is open to any and all who show up. There is always plenty of good and healthy food for all.

Supports tribal members who are low income or have no income. Provides Social Security services help, Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), food distribution, medical gas vouchers (for Indian Health Services referred care, and referrals for other services.

Provides food boxes with enough groceries to prepare meals for 5 days to eligible individuals and families. Food boxes are available every 30 days.

Provides emergency assistance to low income individuals and families. These services include utility assistance (November 1st-March 31st), food pantry, clothing, and referral services.

Supports individuals and families in need of food boxes, rent assistance, utility assistance, propane assistance, free clothing, free home items, education, outreach and agency referrals, home visit and services program.

Confidential and free help for all victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking including men, women and children. Services include safe shelter with on-site kitchen and food, individual counseling and support groups, and support for those in crisis.

Offers no cost energy efficiency and health and safety improvements to home owners and renters. Services: Home energy efficiency improvements to reduce energy usage and utility bills. Home health and safety improvements. Educational resources to improve energy efficiency.

In collaboration with the Deschutes County Access to Justice Committee, the Downtown Bend branch of Deschutes Public Library offers: Lawyer in the Library every Wednesday evening from 5:30—7:30 p.m. (last appointment at 7:00). Volunteer lawyers are available for free consultations with anyone with legal questions.

Housing Works is the local Public Housing Authority and administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program.  Applicants must apply to the waiting list each year when it opens the second week of January. There is no immediate or emergency assistance available.

BestCare is the contracted community mental health program in Jefferson County. Provides mental health assessments to children, families, and adults. Provides counseling and support for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, school-based mental health services, community-based treatment services, and support for young adults in transition.

Services: mediation with youth and families, 24-hour toll-free crisis hotline, shelter-care in a certified host home or at our youth shelter, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention and support counseling, information and referrals.

Offers shelter and services for kids and families in crisis. Services: mediation with youth and families, 24-hour toll-free crisis hotline, shelter-care in a certified host home or at our shelter, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention and support counseling, standardized intake and assessment, data collection and analysis, area-wide services coordination referral and information.

Offers breakfast and other services including hot showers, hygiene items, a mobile medical van, foot care clinic, a hairstylist once a month, case management, employment referrals, laundry vouchers, bus tickets, clothing donation, mail service, a piano player and more.
